Free Comic Book Day 2005 Report back
FCBD was a massive hit ! Huge crowds, great bargains,
20 lucky winners, costumed super-heroes and free comics !
Saturday 7 May 2005 was the 4th FCBD and once again
fans all round Cape Town turned up for the feast that is Free Comic
Book Day !With lots of media coverage (radio & print) the store
was packed inside and out for most of the day. Highlights were
definitely the costumed super-heroes and the lucky draw competitions. The
sale tables of action figures and graphic novels also had constant crowds
and we're sure everyone enjoyed picking up some great bargains :-)
Best moment of the day - a kid asks "Batman" to
autograph his comic !
